How Didit Copilot works

Didit Copilot is the AI assistant inside the Didit console: how to open it, what it can do, what needs your confirmation, undo, attachments and its limits.

Short answer

Didit Copilot is an AI assistant built into the console. Open it with the button in the bottom-right corner or Cmd+J (Ctrl+J on Windows and Linux). It works with your permissions, and publishing, deleting and many other changes wait for you to press Approve first.

Didit Copilot works on the page you are looking at and on your account's data. It builds and edits workflows, finds and explains verification sessions, sets up transaction rules, answers questions from the Help Center and the developer documentation, and opens support tickets.

Note

Didit Copilot is an AI. Check important details before acting on them.

#Open it

  • Click the Copilot button in the bottom-right corner of any console page, or press Cmd+J (Ctrl+J on Windows and Linux).
  • Expand the panel for more room, drag its edge to resize it, and press Esc to close it.
  • Your conversations are kept under Chat history, where you can rename or delete them. The + button starts a new conversation.

#What it can do

Copilot acts in two ways:

  • On screen. It navigates the console, filters lists, opens records and dialogs, and edits the workflow or questionnaire you have open, the same way you would. See everything Copilot can do in the console, grouped by area.
  • Through your account. It reads and changes your Didit data with the same permissions as your console user: workflows and their compliance checks, verification sessions and the reasons behind each decision, transaction rules (including backtests), questionnaires, webhooks, lists, analytics and your balance.

#What needs your confirmation

  • Publishing, deleting and many other changes to your account show a Confirm this action card in the chat. Nothing happens until you press Approve; Deny cancels it. Actions that cannot be reversed say so on the card.
  • When Copilot opens a console dialog for you (a new session, an API key, a team invitation), the dialog is prefilled and you submit it yourself.
  • Edits inside an editor (a workflow draft, a questionnaire draft, a white-label preview) apply right away, like your own edits. They reach your users only when the workflow or questionnaire is published or the branding is saved.
  • When you hand Copilot the questions for a new questionnaire, typed or in a file, it creates the questionnaire without a confirmation card, since the content is what you just gave it, and opens it for you to review.
  • Payments are always yours: Copilot can open the top-up dialog, but you complete the payment.

#Undo changes to a workflow

When Copilot edits the steps of a workflow in the graph editor, a change card lists every step it added or removed. Press Undo these changes to revert its last round of edits at once. Undo is available until you make your own edits on top; changes to workflow settings, such as the callback URL, are listed but not undone.

Before you publish, the publish confirmation summarizes the changes Copilot made in the session.

#Attach files

Attach up to 4 files per message (10 MB each) with the paperclip button or by dragging them into the chat: images (JPEG, PNG, WebP), PDF, Word, plain text, CSV and Excel. Copilot can read them, and can put a CSV or image you attached into the matching console upload, such as a list import or your white-label logo, for you to confirm.

#Languages

Copilot answers in the language you write in. You can also fix a reply language in its settings: English, Spanish, Portuguese (Brazil and Portugal), French, German, Italian, Catalan, Russian, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Hindi, Indonesian and Swahili.

#What it cannot do

  • Act beyond your permissions. Copilot has exactly the access of your console user. If your role cannot do something, neither can Copilot. See team members and roles.
  • Take an action that is not available to you on this page. Available actions depend on your role, your plan, the features enabled for your application and the page you are on. If an action is not available, Copilot tells you instead of doing it, and can take you to the right page or explain the steps.

#Get help from a person

Ask Copilot to contact support. It can open a support ticket prefilled with the context of your conversation, or hand the conversation to the Didit support team when that option is available to you.
